For us, sustainability is not just a buzzword, but a process that we are consistently shaping, step by step. It arises where technology, responsibility and pragmatism come together. This is precisely where we come in.
Specifically
We have already carried out energy-efficiency refurbishments on our administrative buildings. Last year saw the commissioning of our new production hall, which was designed and built in accordance with the very latest energy-efficiency standards. The building’s structural design has been deliberately engineered to allow photovoltaic and solar thermal systems to be easily integrated during the next phase of expansion.
We are also currently looking into the possibility of installing a reed bed treatment system. A small stream that flows through our site offers ecological opportunities here, which we would like to make responsible use of.
When it comes to the raw materials we use, we do not view sustainability as a rigid concept. We align ourselves with our customers’ requirements and their understanding of sustainability. This means that ‘sustainable’ does not necessarily mean natural cosmetics. Equally relevant are biotechnologically derived raw materials, upcycled ingredients or innovative active ingredients with an improved environmental footprint.
